Nick Saban vs. Mark Richt.
In the realm of SEC coaches, it's akin to a heavyweight fight.
Granted, neither will be in uniform Saturday night when Alabama and Georgia meet in their first Top 10 matchup in more than 30 years. But I thought it would be fun to compare their SEC coaching records, who they've beaten, who they haven't beaten and how they've fared in the marquee games.
They're 2-2 against each other, with Richt's Bulldogs winning last season in Tuscaloosa, 26-23 in overtime, thanks to Matthew Stafford's 25-yard touchdown pass to Mikey Henderson.
Saban has won two SEC championships and a national championship, all with LSU. Richt has won two SEC championships.
One of the most impressive statistics with Richt is that he's won nine straight games against nationally ranked teams, which includes the Arizona State win last week. The Sun Devils were No. 24 in the coaches' poll. The last time Richt lost to a nationally ranked team was the 2006 season, a 21-14 setback to Florida
