With the 30 for 30 film "Ghosts of Ole Miss" airing tonight at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN, I'll be conducting a special chat at 1 p.m. ET discussing the events of the fall of 1962 on Ole Miss' campus.
That was the year James Meredith integrated the university under the protection of the U.S. government, while Ole Miss' football team was looking for a perfect season.
I grew up in Oxford and remember hearing the story when I was little. My father was a professor at Ole Miss, and I remember the day he took me on campus and showed me where all the chaos occurred. It's a powerful story that I think is very important for everyone to hear.
