Annnnd Johnny Manziel has yet another award to be proud of in 2012.
Fresh off becoming the first freshman to ever win the Heisman Trophy, Johnny Football became the first freshman to ever to be voted The Associated Press Player of the Year. Manziel grabbed 31 votes, while Note Dame linebacker Manti Te'o placed second in the vote with 15 votes.
It's no surprise that Manziel was named the AP Player of the Year. He broke the SEC total offense record with his 4,600 total yards and combined for 43 total touchdowns this season. He also helped take down No. 1 Alabama on the road during the Aggies' run to 10 wins in their first season in the SEC.
Manziel also won the Davey O'Brien Award, as the nation's best quarterback after he finished the season with 3,419 passing yards and 24 touchdowns. He was also third in the SEC in rushing with 1,181 yards and led all SEC rushers with 19 rushing touchdowns.
