All good things must come to an end.
"Seinfeld," the Japanese Godzilla movies, the fanny pack. All met untimely ends, but there was no way any of those would last forever.
And like those three iconic foundations of American livelihood, Alabama's dominating run will come to an end. It might end next month against Notre Dame in the Discover BCS National Championship or it could end after the Crimson Tide hoist their second crystal trophy in as many years and third in four seasons.
Alabama's run will end at some point, and while the Tide returns a load of talent in 2013, ESPN's Brad Edwards writes that Alabama's historic run could be coming to an end sooner rather than later.
