Georgia offensive guard Chris Burnette will miss spring practice after undergoing surgery on Tuesday to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder.
Burnette, a rising senior, has started for the last two years at right guard. A full recovery is expected and Burnette should be ready to go for the start of the 2013 season, according to Georgia assistant athletic director for sports medicine Ron Courson.
The Bulldogs return all five starters in their offensive line next season along with starting tight end Arthur Lynch.
Freshman receiver Tramel Terry, one of 13 early enrollees on campus, also had surgery earlier this month to repair a torn ACL. He suffered the injury last month in the Shrine Bowl all-star game and hopes his rehabilitation goes well enough that he will be healthy enough to play next season.
