Arkansas announces 2013 signing class

Arkansas has announced its 2013 signing class.

The Hogs signed 17 players on Wednesday. They also signed five junior college players in December, and four of those are already on campus and enrolled in school.

Arkansas is still waiting on running back Alex Collins of Plantation, Fla. He's an ESPN 150 prospect who committed to the Hogs on Monday, but he didn't sign Wednesday as originally scheduled. His mother reportedly confiscated his paperwork and doesn't want him to leave the state. So we'll have to stay tuned on that one. The Hogs did pick up ESPN 150 offensive tackle Denver Kirkland of Miami on signing day. Kirkland is ranked as the No. 12 offensive tackle in the country and chose Arkansas over Miami. He's one of two ESPN 150 prospects to sign with the Hogs. The other was tight end Hunter Henry of Little Rock, Ark. Henry is the No. 2 tight end in the country.

If Collins follows through and signs, he would be the third.

Arkansas currently ranks No. 31 in ESPN's class rankings.
