Last week, we took a look at the top returning quarterback, running back and wide receiver triumvirates in the SEC. To spice things up, we then added a poll to see which one you readers thought was the best one returning to the league in 2013.
The Texas A&M trio of Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel, Ben Malena and Mike Evans took second place with 30 percent of the vote, while Georgia's trio of Aaron Murray, Todd Gurley and Malcolm Mitchell was third with 23 percent of the vote.
It's hard to argue with the readers on this one. Alabama was 67 McCarron passing yards away from having a 3,000-yard passer, a 1,000-yard rusher and a 1,000-yard receiver returning in 2013. Texas A&M has that, but only because Manziel was both a 3,000-yard passer and a 1,000-yard rusher in 2012, which is pretty impressive in itself, really.
All of these trios should be pretty fun to watch in 2013. LSU's offense has to get better with Mettenberger's improvement during the last month of the season and the arrival of new offensive coordinator Cam Cameron, right? And Ole Miss' offense could be even more fun to watch now that the players have a year under their belts.
Oh, and with a host of other talented players, including all five starting offensive linemen, returning in Athens, Georgia's offense should be one of the best in the nation.
SEC defenses are going to have to buckle down a little more in 2013.
