Mel Kiper Jr.'s updated position rankings

Now that we've had even more time to process what took place at last month's NFL combine, ESPN NFL draft guru Mel Kiper Jr. has updated his position rankingsInsider heading into next month's draft.

In his last batch of rankings, 26 SEC players made the cut, with the SEC being represented at every position, except for fullback. This time around, Kiper has 23 former SEC players in his rankings. The SEC isn't represented at quarterback or fullback.

Arkansas quarterback Tyler Wilson, Texas A&M running back Christine Michael, Arkansas tight end Chris Gragg, Georgia outside linebacker Cornelius Washington and Mississippi State cornerback Johnthan Banks were left out of the rankings this time.

Texas A&M defensive end Damontre Moore, who was once considered a top-five draft pick, made it back into Kiper's rankings as the No. 4 defensive end after a better showing at Texas A&M's pro day. Florida running back Mike Gillislee also made the rankings as the No. 5 running back.
