It sounds like Charlie Strong's hiring at Louisville will become official on Wednesday.
It's been a long time coming for Strong and an opportunity that's well deserved. The reality is that this should have happened a long time ago when you look at Strong's resume, what his defenses have accomplished and the caliber of coaches he's worked under as a coordinator.
In Florida's case, this will be the second straight year that the Gators have lost one of their coordinators. A year ago, it was Dan Mullen taking the Mississippi State head coaching job, although Mullen stayed on to coach in the BCS National Championship Game.
It's unclear whether Strong will stay on this season to coach in the Allstate Sugar Bowl.
