South Carolina motored into signing day with the big commitment from running back Marcus Lattimore on Tuesday night.
But the Gamecocks may be losing a longtime commitment later Wednesday. ESPN recruiting analyst J.C. Shurburtt is reporting that receiver Sean Tapley of Jacksonville, Fla., will now sign with North Carolina.
Tapley, who's been committed to the Gamecocks since his junior year, has a 10 a.m. news conference at his high school. He's rated by Scouts Inc. as the 18th-best receiver prospect in the country.
