Georgia coach Mark Richt spent all offseason telling people that fifth-year senior quarterback Joe Cox was the least of the staff's worries.
You wonder if he feels the same way now.
Blaming Cox alone for Georgia's 24-10 loss to Oklahoma State would be short-sighted. The Bulldogs had several costly penalties (one that was questionable) and gave up a costly play in special teams.
But the bottom line is that the Bulldogs couldn't generate much of a passing game against an Oklahoma State defense that gave up points and yards by the mile last season. Cox finished with just 162 yards passing, and more notably, Georgia was just 4 of 12 on third down.
It doesn't get any easier next week. South Carolina's defense will be a lot better than Oklahoma State's.
