Marve chooses Purdue over Tennessee

Former Miami quarterback Robert Marve announced on ESPN's College Football Live on Thursday that he would transfer to Purdue.

Tennessee had been his other finalist, even though Marve would have been forced to walk on this first year and pay his own way after Miami refused to release him to Tennessee.

With Marve out of the picture, the Vols now refocus their attention on high school quarterbacks. They'd like to sign two during the 2010 class. The guys at the top of their list are Jake Heaps of Sammamish, Wash., Jesse Scroggins of Lakewood, Calif., and Andrew Hendrix of Cincinnati, Ohio.
