"I'M HAPPY RIGHT NOW"

Dallas Cowboys linebacker DeMarcus Ware is battling a sore neck but hopes to play on Saturday against the undefeated New Orleans Saints.

"To be honest, I feel 100 percent better," Ware said before Cowboys' practice on Tuesday. " Despite lifting weights on Tuesday and building strength, head coach Wade Phillips lists Ware as day-to-day. The Pro Bowl linebacker will undergo more tests on Wednesday and if he clears them Ware could be back on the field Saturday night.

Phillies pitcher Roy Halladay has agreed to a three-year contract extension with his new team. ESPN The Magazine Senior Writer Buster Olney reports the deal will pay Halladay $20 million per season with a vesting option for a fourth year at $20 million. He will earn $15.75 million this season before the extension kicks in.
