A Saints' fan shows her support as the New Orleans Saints head to Miami to Face the Colts in Super Bowl XLIV

To find the last New Orleans team that played for a title in the four major pro sports, you'd have to go all the way back to the ABA Finals in 1968...where the New Orleans Buccaneers lost to the Pittsburgh Pipers in 7 games. The Hornets have yet to make it to the NBA Finals...their deepest run in New Orleans came when they took the Spurs to 7 games in the '08 Western Conference Semifinals. And finally - in their 7th playoff appearance after more than 40 seasons - Saints book a ticket to the Super Bowl with hopes to bring home the city's first ever pro sports title.
