From The Rundown

The Cavs scored 74 points in the first half against the Knicks. After a quick breather, they pushed their 26-point halftime lead up to 49 points, which pushed LeBron to the bench for the fourth quarter. In the end, he led five of his fellow Clevelanders in double digits, scoring 22 points in 31 minutes. And the 31-point margin was their largest win of the season, and one that left us longing for the delicious back-and-forth, give-and-take, tit-for-tat sniping of a good Judge Judy ending.

More from The Rundown, including George Costanza and the rites of spring, and what (or, rather, who) will likely be missing from tonight's gold medal rematch between Sidney Crosby and Ryan Miller, after the jump.

Hope you ate a real breakfast, because the very first Grapefruit League games begin around lunchtime. That's when something called Manatee CC takes on the Pirates (12:05 pm ET). And an hour later, Florida Southern faces the Tigers (1:05 pm ET) while the Braves take on the Mets (1:10 pm ET). Nelson Figueroa should start for the Mets, which means he'll be the first to have to figure out how to keep Atlanta's Jason Heyward from causing more serious spring damage. Again. (More on him in the next paragraph.)

450 AND 3,400

Those are feet and dollars, respectively. Which brings us back to Braves rookie Jason Heyward. He's a 20-year-old with a bat that's already become legendary. Specifically among the Braves brass. Specifically among assistant GM Bruce Manno, who coughed up $3,400 to fix the sunroof in his car that was shattered by a 450-foot blast off of that bat. (The Braves have since put up nets to better protect the executive parking lot.)

"I'm playing [tonight] and looking forward to it. I think he deserves the rest."

- Patrick Lalime will start tonight between the pipes for Buffalo against Pittsburgh. Which means Ryan Miller will get the rest he deserves. Which means we will not get to see Miller try to stop Sidney Crosby again. We deserve better.

You deserve The Rundown bright and early each morning. Sign up for it here, and we'll all get our just desserts.
