From The Rundown

Three of the four teams with double-byes in the Big East Championship lost their openers yesterday. And the only one that won turned it over with six seconds left, got it back with three seconds left, then drained a three-pointer with no seconds left to win. Da'Sean Butler did the hero dance for West Virginia, but you probably knew that already, because it's the fifth time the Butler's done it this season:

- December 19th at Cleveland State (a layup with 1.2 seconds left)

- December 29th vs Marquette (a 20-foot jumper with 2 seconds left)

- January 30th vs Louisville (a 16-foot jumper with 16 seconds left)

- March 6th at Villanova (a runner in the lane with 5.8 seconds left in overtime)

- last night vs Cincinnati (a three-pointer with no seconds left also known as the SportsCenter Highlight of the Night)

The Magic extended their winning streak to seven games. The Bulls extended their losing streak to six games. And Derrick Rose his personal streak of getting injured by Dwight Howard to two games. Because almost exactly a month after a collision with Howard injured Rose's hip (see: February 10), another collision with Howard (see: last night) injured Rose's wrist. At least he didn't get hurt riding a bike on a treadmill. But that doesn't change the fact that he's questionable for tonight's game against the Heat in Miami.

Chris Chelios made his season debut when he took the ice for the Thrashers in their 2-1 loss at the Blue Jackets. He's 48 years old. (Wayne Gretzky is 49 years old.) It's the 26th season for Chelios in the NHL. (It's the 10th season for the Thrashers in the NHL.) The 26 seasons ties him with Gordie Howe for the most-ever in the league. And Chelios has been the oldest player in the league for five straight seasons now.
