RACE FOR NBA SCORING TITLE: With his big night, LeBron James retakes the NBA scoring lead from Kevin Durant. Both have now played 70 games and LeBron has scored 9 more points than Durant this season. There's potential to see the closest scoring race since 1977 when George Gervin edged David Thompson by just 7 one-hundredths of a point!

TALE OF TWO HALVES: Taking you to the next level, it was a tale of two shooting nights for Kobe Bryant and Tim Duncan. Kobe had one his best shooting games of the season, going 11 for 16 while Duncan had a miserable night shooting. He was 2 for 11 including shooting 1 for 7 from 10 to 15 feet. It was the seventh straight win for the Lakers and their second-longest winning streak of the season.

GREEN LANTERN: What a night for Rajon Rondo. He posts his 4th career triple-double, including 15 assists. That's his 6th game this season with at least 15 assists, tying a Celtics record. He also ties Rick Fox (former Laker turned actor) for most steals in a single season in Celtics history with 167. The Celtics won for the sixth time in their last eight games overall thanks to the continued strong play of Paul Pierce. Pierce (27 points) is now averaging 24.4 PPG over his last five games. The win clinches a spot for the Celtics in the playoffs.

Timberwolves 95 Bobcats 108

YOU'RE GOING IN THE WRONG DIRECTION: The Timberwolves have lost their 14th game, the 3rd longest streak in the NBA this season, trailing a 15-game streak they had earlier this season and the Nets 18-gamer. The Wizards also make the list with their current 13-game losing streak.

THE OTHER TOURNAMENT: A nice day for the Atlantic-10 conference as Dayton and Rhode Island both went on the road and knocked off the top seeds. Not a single number 1 made it to New York. The Flyers will take on 3 seed Ole Miss in 1 semifinal on Tuesday while Rhode Island takes on North Carolina in the other semifinal also on Tuesday. The finals will be next Thursday at Madison Square Garden.

Penguins 3 Capitals 4 (Shootout)

ICE-OFF: Neither Sidney Crosby or Alex Ovechkin lit the lamp last night but each had an assist in Wednesday's game. They both have 45 goals which leads the NHL but, Ovechkin also has the points lead, 9 more than Crosby who currently sits in 3rd. Sidney Crosby has not scored a goal in 11 games without Evgeni Malkin in the lineup this season. In the 62 games Malkin played, Crosby scored 45 goals.
