Stinger Won't Prevent a Start

Paul Pierce said the stinger he suffered in his right shoulder Sunday is feeling better after treatment and a massage, and won't prevent him from starting Game 2 against the Heat Tuesday. Pierce's injury led to the fracas that ultimately resulted in teammate Kevin Garnett's Game 2 suspension in Boston.

The former Florida QB will work out privately for Denver Broncos coach Josh McDaniels and general manager Brian Xanders today, a team source told NFL.com. Among the teams Tebow has already visited prior to the NFL Draft on Thursday are the Redskins, Bills, Seahawks, Patriots and, most recently, the Browns. Staying With the Worldwide Leader

Six-time National Sportscaster of the Year Chris Berman, who joined ESPN in October 1979 - less than a month after the network launched - has signed a contract extension to remain with ESPN. Berman will continue as the leading voice and face of ESPN's National Football League studio coverage as host of Sunday NFL Countdown, Monday Night Countdown and Monday Night Football halftime, and NFL highlight segments on SportsCenter. He will also continue his play-by-play duties for the Major League Baseball Home Run Derby and his familiar roles as host of ESPN's U.S. Open golf coverage.
