YANKEES 1B MARK TEIXEIRA STRAINS HAMSTRING, OUT FOR YEAR:

Mark Teixeira strained his right hamstring running out a grounder in the fifth inning of New York's 10-3 loss to the Rangers in Game 4 on Tuesday night. He gingerly walked off the field with assistance and had an MRI at New York-Presbyterian Hospital that showed a grade-2 strain. He says he's done for the season.

NHL PLAYER PUSHES FAN IN STANDS:

Vancouver Canucks center Rick Rypien is expected to face an hearing w/the NHL after pushing a fan in last night's game against the Minnesota Wild. It happened as Rypien was heading to the locker room after he was assessed a 10-minute roughing penalty. He lunged at a Wild fan who was celebrating his departure.

COLTS PUNTER ARRESTED:

Colts punter Pat McAfee was arrested early this morning after police found him swimming in a canal in Indianapolis. McAfee was shirtless and appeared to be drunk. Police say they pepper sprayed him before removing him from the scene.
