Rams OT Saffold officially out Sunday

EARTH CITY, Mo. -- No surprise here but the St. Louis Rams officially ruled right tackle Rodger Saffold out for Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys.

Saffold suffered a knee injury last week against Atlanta and did not return to the game. He was unavailable for practice all week, and Rams coach Jeff Fisher has referred to him as day-to-day.

Of course, the Rams have also taken a number of steps to have plenty of insurance with Saffold out. Earlier in the week the team claimed tackle Mike Person off waivers from Seattle and officially signed tackle Max Starks on Thursday.

Elsewhere on the injury report, the Rams appear to be in pretty good shape. They got a number of important players back in the mix Thursday, and those players continued to fully participate in Friday's practice. Here's the final Friday rundown on the injury front:

Out: Saffold (knee)

Questionable: TE Mike McNeill (chest), S Darian Stewart (thigh)

Probable: DE William Hayes (hip), DE Eugene Sims (foot), CB Cortland Finnegan (nose), G Chris Williams (foot), RB Daryl Richardson (foot), DE Chris Long (hip).

For Dallas, it looks like this:

Out: LB Ernie Sims (groin)

Questionable: DE Anthony Spencer (knee)

Probable: WR Dez Bryant (back), QB Tony Romo (ribs), CB Morris Claiborne (shoulder), DE DeMarcus Ware (neck)
