Zac Stacy, Chris Long return to practice

EARTH CITY, Mo. -- St. Louis Rams defensive end Chris Long and running back Zac Stacy were back in action Thursday after sitting out all of Wednesday's practice.

Listed with a thigh injury, Long was upgraded from not participating to full participation Thursday. Stacy has been battling a chest injury since his first start against Jacksonville on Oct. 6 but appears to be following the same procedure he did last week before the team played in Houston. Stacy sat out Wednesday and returned full-time Thursday.

Only two Rams sat out Thursday's practice and neither was a surprise. Cornerback Cortland Finnegan (thigh) hasn't practiced or played since suffering the injury on Sept. 26 against San Francisco. Running back Benny Cunningham (ankle) also didn't practice and was again seen in the locker room with his foot in a walking boot and elevated on a Roll-About.

Linebacker Daren Bates (hip) was also upgraded. He moved from limited to full participation.

Here's the official injury report for Thursday:

Did not participate: Finnegan (thigh), Cunningham (ankle)

Full participation: Long (thigh), Stacy (chest), Bates (hip)
