EARTH CITY, Mo. -- Speaking to 101 ESPN, the St. Louis Rams' flagship station, Tuesday afternoon, Rams chief operating officer Kevin Demoff let it be known that the team will keep season-ticket prices the same in 2014.
"Season ticket prices [are] remaining flat this year," Demoff told the station. "It's always good to have happen just to show the fans are never very far from our thoughts."
Considering the Rams again posted a losing record in 2013 and haven't been to the playoffs in a decade, it's really the only logical move for the Rams to keep season-ticket prices the same. More importantly, the tenuous stadium situation that exists made keeping prices flat something of a no-brainer.
The Rams had a slight increase in season-ticket prices in 2013 after a turnaround 7-8-1 season in 2012.
With plenty of fan unrest and speculation centering on the pending expiration of the team's lease at the Edward Jones Dome, another increase in price would have likely been hazardous to ticket sales.
