A weekly examination of the Rams’ ESPN.com Power Ranking:
Preseason: 15 | Last Week: 15 | ESPN.com Power Ranking since 2002
The St. Louis Rams' 27-24 win against Arizona on Sunday didn't lead to any movement for them in this week's ESPN Power Rankings. They remained at No. 15, one of only two teams (Oakland being the other at No. 31) not to slide up or down at least one spot.
Losing to Arizona at home almost certainly would have dropped the Rams in the rankings, and a more convincing victory might have moved them up.
Much like last week, the Rams' spot almost directly in the middle of the rankings is probably about right. Although we now have a game to go on, it's still an awfully small sample size to try to determine where this team is. As it stands, it's a team that overcame plenty of mistakes and two costly turnovers to snatch a comeback win.
The Rams will have a big opportunity to make a move up this week when they visit the No. 4 Falcons in Atlanta.
