Stanford recruiting roundup

A look at what happened over the past week in the world of Stanford recruiting.

  • The Cardinal picked up another commitment, offensive guard Johnny Caspers from Glen Ellyn Ill. Caspers had offers from Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan and Toledo.

"I came home and had a good talk with my family, and they agreed that Stanford was too good of an opportunity for me to pass up," Caspers told the Chicago Tribune.

Here's a good piece about Caspers from back in May.

"I’m pretty athletic for a big guy and the coaches were telling me how much they liked me and how well I would fit in. I haven’t set up any other visits but I want to check out Stanford, Cal and USC before I make my commitment anywhere.”
