Knicks' Kristaps Porzingis cleared to play after MRI on Achilles

The Knicks got some good news with MRI results on Kristaps Porzingis' Achilles, which showed no structural damage.

After missing four games, Porzingis is available for tonight's game against the the Washington Wizards tonight.

The Achilles' issue has been a recurrent one for the Knicks' big man, who is averaging 19.4 points, 7.4 rebounds and 2.0 blocks this season .

He missed three games with a sore Achilles beginning on New Year's Eve.

The 21-year-old returned for four games, and then missed two more.

He said he was ready to play Monday against the Hawks at the Garden, but tweaked the Achilles in warmups.

Center Joakim Noah, who missed Thursday's win over the Celtics, also had an MRI, which revealed a sprained ankle. Noah is out against Washington tonight.
