Jameis Winston eager to face J.J. Watt

TAMPA, Fla. -- Jameis Winston might want to be careful what he wishes for.

While filming a "Rookie Confessional" for NFL.com, Winston was asked who he was most looking forward to playing this season.

"The player I'm most looking forward to play against has to be, probably J.J. Watt," Winston said. "We play them Week 3 in Houston I believe. It's going to be a fun matchup."

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers play Sept. 27 in Houston, and Winston might feel differently after meeting Watt in person. Watt is a two-time Defensive Player of the Year and he’s coming off a 2014 season in which he had 20.5 sacks.

Watt is a challenge for any quarterback. But he could be especially troublesome for a rookie in his third week in the NFL.

It’s not just Winston who could have trouble with a Watt matchup. Tampa Bay’s offensive line allowed 52 sacks last season and has been overhauled in the offseason.

There’s a good chance rookie Donovan Smith could be starting at left tackle and rookie Ali Marpet at right guard.
