Bucs re-sign Jonathan Casillas

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers re-signed one of their own potential free agents Friday. Linebacker Jonathan Casillas was signed to a one-year contract, the team announced.

This could be a sign that the new coaching staff believes Casillas can be the starter on the strong side. Casillas joined the Buccaneers last season and dealt with some injury issues, but was able to play in 12 games with four starts.

Casillas had 24 tackles, two passes defensed and one forced fumble while adding nine tackles on special teams.
