The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who have struggled to sell tickets at times in recent years, have made a smart off-field move.
The team announced Monday that it has opened a ticket sales office in downtown Sarasota.
“We are thrilled to extend our ticket sales operations into the Sarasota and Manatee County areas in order to better serve our existing fan base there as well as build even stronger relationships within the communities,” Buccaneers CEO Brian Ford said. “With the excitement surrounding our offseason acquisitions and the high expectations for this upcoming season, we understand the passion for the Buccaneers extends well beyond Hillsborough County. We will continue looking for ways to make it easier for our fans throughout the area to enjoy the one-of-a-kind experience of watching games in person at Raymond James Stadium.”
The Bucs already have plenty of fans in Sarasota and Manatee counties. But the office gives them a stronger presence in a region that has a large population.
