TAMPA, Fla. -- The Tampa Bay Buccaneers could have a very heated battle at nickelback in the preseason.
The Bucs have agreed to terms on a one-year deal with former Dallas cornerback Sterling Moore. He emerged as the Cowboys’ nickelback last season and had 46 tackles and 12 passes defensed. Moore spent the last three seasons with Dallas and was with New England before that.
Leonard Johnson was the team's nickelback last season, but it looks like Moore will get a chance to push him for that position.
