RTC: Fines are in for two Jets

Reading the coverage of the Tennessee Titans…

A tweet from ESPN Jets guru Rich Cimini: (Quinton) Coples fined $7,875 for hit on (Jake) Locker, per source. (Muhammad) Wilkerson fined $15,785 for same, per @JasonLaCanfora. Both will appeal. #Jets

A thorough, 12-category comparison of Jake Locker and Ryan Fitzpatrick from Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean.

To which I say: Backup quarterback around the league is a weak position. Heck, a lot of teams don’t have a sufficient starter. I think Fitzpatrick is about as good an option as a team can have, but it’s a big unknown when the No. 2 starts his first game for an injured starter who was playing very well.

Fitzpatrick seemed loose, but ready to play in his media session on Wednesday, says Wyatt and John Glennon.

Mike Munchak said something “remarkable” would have to happen for Jake Locker to return before the Titans’ Oct. 27 bye, writes Wyatt.

Justin Hunter is looking forward to getting behind a defensive back, something he hasn’t had a chance to do yet. A post from David Boclair of the Nashville Post.
