Titans scheduled for uniform alterations in 2018

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Titans are expected to wear updated uniforms starting in 2018.

Controlling owner Amy Adams Strunk said in August that she has had preliminary conversations with the NFL about freshening up the uniforms.

Those conversations have continued, and she anticipates players will wear them in 2018 at the conclusion of the two-year process.

She said the alterations won’t be major -- there is no color scheme or logo change ahead -- but that she is confident fans will like the changes.

“I think they’ll be excited; it’s definitely going to be a wonderful update,” she said. “There are some little tweaks to it. It’s not even final yet, what we’ve done. We’re still in the process of talking.

“It’s a great process with the people at Nike and NFL Properties, the creative director there, it’s fantastic. They have great ideas.”

The Titans uniforms have been the same since the team changed from the Tennessee Oilers to the Tennessee Titans in 1999.
