Only two Titans are in Pro Bowl top 10s

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Titans haven’t had a Pro Bowler in the past two seasons.

They aren’t in line to end the streak based on fan Pro Bowl voting so far.

As of today, they have two guys in the top six in fan voting, which will account for one-third of the ballot. Coaches and players also have votes that count for a third.

Defensive tackle Jurrell Casey trails Kansas City’s Dontari Poe, Dallas’ Jason Hatcher, Buffalo’s Marcell Dareus, Buffalo’s Kyle Williams and Detroit’s Ndamukong Suh.

Cornerback Alterraun Verner is fifth at his position, behind Richard Sherman, New England’s, Aqib Talib, Arizona’s Patrick Peterson and Chicago’s Charles Tillman.

I think both should be higher, though I’ve not closely watched the season of all of the guys ahead of them.

Most 5-7 teams who haven’t been to the playoffs recently don’t register high with fans in Pro Bowl voting.

Casey and Verner should fare better among players and coaches.

Fan voting concludes Dec. 26. Players and coaches vote from Dec. 23rd to 26th.
