RTC: Pollard on Horton's defense

Greetings from Bristol, Conn., where we are reading the coverage of the Tennessee Titans ...

Alterraun Verner’s payday is likely to come somewhere other than Tennessee, says Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean. “When it comes to the money, it is not like I need to be paid super high,” Verner said. “But I am not going to be a fool and take anything that is super small.”

D’Qwell Jackson’s decision on a new team could take a while, says Wyatt. After visits to Nashville and Denver, he went to Miami.

From the Titans’ website, Bernard Pollard on Ray Horton’s defense: “He’s not a guy who’s going to sit back, he’s a guy that’s going to come get you. He wants to have his defensive presence known from start to finish in the game. For all of us it’s going to come down to being in one accord and being ready for change. It’s going to be different from what a lot of guys have seen, but it’s going to be great.”

PFF’s list of the top 75 free agents in the league. Verner is 15th.
