Greetings from Bristol, Conn. where we are reading the coverage of the Tennessee Titans…
A change in the mindset of the Titans under coach Ken Whisenhunt and defensive coordinator Ray Horton is a big reason why Bernard Pollard signed a deal to return, says Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean. “We’re going to be an attack-style defense like I played in in Baltimore. We aren’t going to sit back and be that punching bag anymore,” Pollard said, before saying he was not suggesting Jerry Gray’s defense was passive.
Jake Locker is focused on fighting for his job, says Wyatt. Whisenhunt introduced Locker at a Boy Scout luncheon as "our quarterback.” Locker is still in a walking boot, and will have surgery at the end of the month to remove hardware from his surgically repaired right foot.
A bunch of Titans from 2013 are less than a week from free agency, says David Boclair of the Nashville Post.
Locker talked with Amie Wells of the team’s web site about his offseason progress and the new staff. (Video.)
