Best game ever: Colin McCarthy

Continuing our series on the best games members of the Titans have ever played…

Colin McCarthy, linebacker

Nov. 13, 2011: Titans 30, Panthers 3

Bank of America Stadium

McCarthy: 12 tackles, a quarterback pressure and a tackle for a loss (team stats)

“I’d say maybe Carolina game my rookie year. It was my first start. We had a convincing win, I had some nice tackles, a couple tackles for a loss. As a defense I think we only let up three points, so it was a great game. Obviously being a rookie and getting the opportunity -- I think Barrett Ruud went down. I went out there and made the most of it. Confidence-wise, being able to play in this league, it’s just a matter of getting my opportunity. Once you get that feeling of being a starter, making plays, you want to keep it.”
