As it happens, after introductions in the very next game, Game 2, the Thunder fell behind mightily, which cost them a Finals game.
Everyone in the NBA has been dissecting why that happened, but to the Thunder bench -- or at least some of them -- the answer is clear. They screwed up the gum ritual.
