Fred Davis added to injury list

Washington Redskins tight end Fred Davis was added to the injury list Saturday morning because of an ankle injury. Davis is listed as questionable.

It's uncertain how or when Davis hurt his ankle; he was not listed on the injury report before now, so it's likely that he tweaked it in practice and it somehow became worse Saturday. Davis only played 16 snaps in the 38-20 loss at Green Bay, including only five in the second half as rookie Jordan Reed played more. Reed played 21 snaps in the second half of that game -- the coaches really like his athleticism and potential.

On Thursday, Davis expressed frustration with his role. He's a free agent after the season and has cost himself each of the past two offseasons by entering off a suspension one year and coming off an injury the next. Davis still offers a combination of blocking and catching ability. But he had a couple missed assignments against Green Bay as well as a dropped pass. Plus, the Redskins feel they have depth at this spot, giving them options if they're not pleased with his performance.

The Redskins have five other players listed as questionable. Detroit Lions running back Reggie Bush also is questionable.
