Report: Price mocked, cursed at Eckersley

David Price mocked Dennis Eckersley and cursed at him during their confrontation last month on the team plane, according to the Boston Globe. Price told Eckersley on two separate occasions to "get the [expletive] out of here," according to the report.

No apples-to-apples recent Red Sox precedent for calling up Rafael Devers to play regularly in heat of pennant race. Andrew Benintendi was two years older and came from a college program when he got called up last year. Even in 2013, Xander Bogaerts wasn't called up to play every day. "I think not playing on a regular basis was a good thing for me," Bogaerts said. "I was able to watch the game, enjoy the game as a bench player. ... This guy maybe's got to play every day again."
