Here's how the Jags can use first down play-action to open up an inside throwing window for QB Blake Bortles vs. the Patriots (see example below). With two tight end personnel on the field (Y,U), and both receivers (Z,X) aligned in reduced splits, this is a run-alert for the defense. Show the ball to RB Leonard Fournette (H) and clear-out the FS with WR Dede Westbrook (X) on the deep post. With the linebackers now removed (playing the run), and the FS occupied, there is an open window for WR Marqise Lee (Z) to run the dig route (square-in). And that's a high-percentage throw for Bortles to pick up a quick 15-20 yards.

Brady's level of participation, after warmups, will be detailed later Friday on the team's injury report.
