Sale eyeing Pedro's franchise record

Chris Sale, who will take the ball Friday against the Angels, has struck out 10 batters in each of his last three starts and five of his last six starts overall. He has 13 games of 10 or more strikeouts so far, which is already the third-most in a single season in Red Sox history.

Paul Pierce has always been my favorite player." Morris said he has reached out to Pierce. "The first thing he said to me when we talked, he said I was gonna love it [in Boston]," said Morris. "That's all I needed to hear."
