The Patriots, without a 3rd QB on the roster/practice squad, had Garrett Grayson in for a workout today. He entered the NFL as a third-round pick of Saints. Four other players were in for workouts: WR Tim Patrick (Utah), LB Marcus Rush (Michigan State), DE Jhaustin Thomas (Iowa State) and WR Deonte Thompson (Florida).

JR Smith thinks LeBron will play, Lue unsure

According to JR Smith, LeBron James is 'going to play' in the Cleveland Cavaliers' regular-season opener against Kyrie Irving and the Boston Celtics. James has missed four of the Cavaliers' five preseason games with a sprained left ankle.

Dungey, Dillon, Bennett among ACC Players of the Week

Syracuse QB Eric Dungey and LB Parris Bennnett earn honors this week after impressive performances in the Orange's upset of then-No. 2 Clemson. Boston College RB AJ Dillon shares the weekly offensive back award with Dungey and was named the Walter Camp National Offensive Player of the Week. Miami kicker Michael Badgley earns the special teams award after a perfect outing vs. Georgia Tech in which he kicked the game-winning field goal.
