Keep a lookout tomorrow for updates on Andrew Benintendi, who sprained his knee as a result of a bad baserunning play. On second base on a grounder to shortstop, he attempted to return to second even though he had already passed the fielder. He was tagged out as he tried to evade the tag.

Tuesday starters key to AL East?

The Blue Jays, Red Sox and Orioles all won, so the O's remain two games behind the Jays and Sox in the division. Clay Buchholz's 6 1/3 strong innings against the Rays could be a sign that he's back to being a valuable pitcher for Boston. Five things we learned Tuesday

Red Sox have owned Chris Archer

Archer won his first start against the Red Sox on Sept. 19, 2012, but he's 0-10 in 14 starts since then against Boston. That's the longest current losing streak by an active pitcher against one team and the longest losing streak for one pitcher against the Red Sox since Mike Moore (10 straight) from 1987 to '92, per the Elias Sports Bureau.
