Luol Deng a game-time call

BOSTON -- Chicago Bulls forward Luol Deng started Friday's game against the Boston Celtics despite a right hamstring injury.

"We'll see," Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said of Deng prior to the game. "(He's) day to day. (He got) treatment (Thursday). (He was) a little better (Thursday) but we'll see. Game-time decision."

Deng injured the hamstring in the first quarter of Wednesday night's overtime win against the Toronto Raptors, but still managed to play almost 48 minutes and knocked down the game-winning shot.

Deng wasn't sure if he would go through shootaround Friday morning, but he believed he would play.

"It's OK. It's a little tight," Deng said. "I didn't do anything at all (Thursday), just icing and stretching as much as I can. I should be fine. I should be fine by (Friday night). But I still haven't ran or anything on it. I'm probably going to do that later before the game. ... I think I'm going to play."

The Bulls enter Friday's game with six wins in their last eight games.
