Tilton School (N.H.) head coach Marcus O'Neil confirmed Friday morning that Everett High's much-touted forward Nerlens Noel decided to transfer to Tilton for next season.
Noel, a 6-foot-10 sophomore who saw limited time this year at Everett due to a broken leg, is already one of the nation's top prospects, ranked in the top 60 for the Class of 2012 by ESPN's scouting service. Noel -- who currently holds a plethora of scholarship offers, including North Carolina, UConn, Georgetown and Florida -- will re-classify into the Class of 2013, almost assuring his stock will continue to rise.
The long, lean Noel has made a name for himself on the national radar with his supreme shot-blocking and rebounding abilities. He joins a loaded squad at the three-time defending NEPSAC Class B champs, which also includes Goodluck Okonoboh, Wayne Selden and Ryan Canty.
