FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft answered questions about the excitement created by Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow, speaking during the Patriots Charitable Foundation's 18th annual Children's Holiday Party on Tuesday.
The Patriots visit the Tebow-led Broncos on Sunday.
"He's great for the NFL," Kraft said. "The kind of young man he is and the values he represents, I think it's terrific. We just want to bring him down to earth this weekend."
Asked if he was looking forward to the Patriots' date with Tebow on Sunday, Kraft said, "We had a date with him last year here when he came (before the draft). He's a real, fine young man and I sort of like it that he's about spirituality and the country is thinking about spirituality."
Kraft added that Tebow "has been unbelievable the last six, seven weeks" but it's his hope the Patriots "sort of rain on the parade a little bit."
