A team source said Mankins will undergo further testing this week.
On a second down run by Danny Woodhead, Mankins had his left leg fallen on by Dolphins defensive lineman Jared Odrick. Mankins stayed in the game for next play before coming off the field on fourth down.
Mankins was examined by team trainers and doctors on the bench. He took off his gloves as well as his left sock and shoe. Trainers then applied a wrap to Mankins' left knee before he put his gloves and shoe back on to test the injury. After testing it, Mankins took off his gloves again.
He stayed on the sideline for the Patriots' next offensive possession. Mankins, who started at left tackle after a late injury to starter Matt Light, was replaced by Nate Solder at left tackle for that possession. Rookie Marcus Cannon replaced Solder at right tackle.
