Adam McQuaid (neck) scratched

BOSTON -- Injured Boston Bruins defenseman Adam McQuaid (neck) participated in the team's optional skate Saturday morning but was scratched from the lineup as the Bruins hosted the San Jose Sharks.

"I'm just waiting for more information before I can even make any decision on him," said Bruins coach Claude Julien early Saturday. "He skated again this morning so he's really coming around."

McQuaid has missed the last three games after slamming head first into the boards during a game in Carolina on Oct. 12.

Also, Bruins forward Milan Lucic, who did not practice on Friday due to a scheduled maintenance day, did skate Saturday morning and played against the Sharks.

San Jose beat Boston 4-2.
