Report: Bruins to open with Rangers

The Boston Bruins will host the New York Rangers in both teams' season opener on Jan. 19, according to a Boston Globe report.

The Globe, citing a team source, reported the Bruins have been informed by the NHL they will host the Rangers in a game expected to start at 7 p.m.

The board of governors ratified the tentative agreement reached Sunday between the NHL and NHLPA, commissioner Gary Bettman confirmed Wednesday.

Training camps are tentatively set to open Sunday, a source told ESPNNewYork.com's Katie Strang, with a 48-game regular season scheduled to start Jan. 19.
