Bill Belichick's very first decision as Patriots head coach might have been the best of them all. When he opted to leave the Jets and new owner Woody Johnson in 2000 for the Pats and Robert Kraft, New England gave New York a first-round draft pick to let the heir apparent to Bill Parcells out of his contract. Three Super Bowl rings, plus 11 AFC East division titles and counting later, it goes down as one of the most one-sided trades in NFL history.
