Martinez had one of the best seasons ever by a pitcher in 1999, leading the league with a 23-4 record, 2.07 ERA and 313 strikeouts. Ranks first in Sox history with a .760 win percentage and is third in strikeouts (1,683) in only seven seasons at Fenway.
